Traveling Ashlar — Accessibility
Accessibility
Last updated: May 9, 2026
Traveling Ashlar aims to make this site usable for as many people as possible, including visitors who rely on assistive technology, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or adjusted color and motion preferences.
Accessibility requirements we apply in our theme and content
- Keyboard and focus: Primary navigation, membership flows, and forms should be operable without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator on interactive controls.
- Semantics and structure: Pages use logical heading order and landmarks (for example, header, main, footer) where the theme controls markup.
- Text and non-text content: Meaningful images include appropriate alternative text; decorative images are marked so assistive technologies can skip them.
- Forms and checkout: Inputs have associated labels or accessible names; required fields and errors are communicated in text, not by color alone.
- Contrast and readability: Body text and interactive elements aim for readable contrast on backgrounds we control.
- Motion: Site-owned animations avoid harmful flashing; where possible, motion respects reduced-motion preferences.
We use the WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a target for theme and content updates. Some areas of the site (payment processors, shipping tools, embedded media, and other third-party scripts) are provided by vendors and may not fully meet the same standard.
Tools on this site
Accessibility toolbar: A control is available along the edge of the screen so visitors can adjust text size, contrast, and grayscale. It is provided by the open-source WP Accessibility plugin.

Feedback
If you encounter a barrier—for example, you cannot finish checkout or read key information with your assistive setup—please contact us with the page address and, if you can, the browser and assistive technology you use. We will work toward a reasonable fix for issues under our control.
